Students with academic gifts and talents are catered for through the Excel program. Places in these programs are offered via selection trials conducted in our feeder primary schools in term 3 or the year prior to commencement. We offer special interest sport programs in Touch Football and AFL for Girls.

Our school has a proud sporting history and we have won a range of state level competitions over many years. We are a special interest Dance school with students being offered a place in the program through an application, audition and interview process. Our school is a “Centre of Excellence” in the Arts. Whilst each school is independent of each other, we all access the Campus “Shared Facilities” and collaborate to offer students in Year 11 and Year 12 access to an extensive range of SACE subjects and VET courses. Our partners are Gleeson College and Pedare Christian College. Golden Grove High School is a member of the Golden Grove Secondary School Campus – a consortium of three schools, public and private. Wellbeing is essential for effective learning and is deeply embedded in both our pastoral and academic learning programs.
